Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Premier League Season Summary

The 2019/2020 Season for Manchester United generally, and the manager the Norwegian OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER (the Legend at the Wheel☸️ )in particular had been a showpiece of drama with tobulent moments and a very interesting ending.

The 2019 Summer Transfer Window

Manchester United's Premier League season has been the one of unpredictable moments which finished in an amazing Form. The season started with Manchester United bringing in an amazing pair of defenders; the record defensive signing Harry Maguire from Leicester City (Whose price was questioned by outside parties), and the young Aaron Wan Bissaka from Crystal Palace. And the summer transfer window ended up with three incoming players including the speedy Daniel James.

Before then there was anarchy concerning that the team might have had players to replace their classy out gone Stars in the people of Ander Herrera, and Antonio Valencia. But there wasn't any signing to take the place of Romelu Lukaku. And also the loan exit of Chris Smalling and Alexis Sánchez Who had little impact on the team.

As of the time when the 2019 summer transfer window closed, Manchester United had a squad comprising the world's most expensive defender (Harry Maguire), the most expensive midfielder (Paul Pogba), and the most valuable goalkeeper (David De Gea) at that moment.

First Half of the Season

As the season started the new Manchester United signings were very impressive in performance with the speedy Daniel James recording debut goals to his name, and the new defenders having clean sheet... And thus the form of the forward dou Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial made the team to have no worries about the void left by Romelu Lukaku.

After an impressive first win against Chelsea FC (a team that had experience so many breakdowns in the face of Manchester United), the team later failed winning the following two marches against Wolverhampton Wanderers (a brave team against the big teams) and Crystal Palace in a loss, and the team was able to win the next against Leicester City (a team that lastly defeated Manchester United in the 2014/2015 season).

Dramatic Scenes

In the first half of the season, it was full of drama with Manchester United experiencing some hard times in which they were beaten in some occasions by underdogs and were unbeatable against big teams. Some embarrassing moments for the team where marches against New Castle United, Watford and some underdogs who defeated Manchester United in the first leg of their Premier League games. And Ole's United were unbeatable against the big Six in the likes of Arsenal (the only big six underdog that Manchester United failed to beat in either legs), Manchester City(another team that had experience numerous defeats against United as Chelsea), Chelsea, Liverpool (the League winner whose winning run was instructed by United), Spurs, and Leicester City, a run which was more dramatic. And there was a situation in which Manchester United was included in the relégation race.

In such hard time for the team, many unsatisfied fan began  the slogan '#OleOut' along side with Ed Woodward and the Glazers. The management of the team was given time till the winter transfer window (which was actually a great decision).

The Second Half of the Season and the Winter Transfer Window

The second half of the season seemed more interesting though Manchester United lost to Arsenal, Burnley, and Liverpool in a 2 goals deficit each. The team was able to get their long time target Bruno Fernandez from Sporting CP, and at the close of the window United desperately got the amazing Nigerian Odion Ighalo from China to replace the injured Marcus Rashford. And this transfer window also featured the exit of the former captain Ashley Young.

The New Unbeaten Run

From February, Manchester United went undefeated in the Premier League, a period which was later paused with a three month break due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

As the football season resumed, Manchester United continued in the same form till the end of the season, in which they finished 3rd of the table, ahead of Chelsea and Leicester City who were ahead of UNITED during the season.

The team had amazing performance from players like their new signings Bruno Fernandez and Jude Ighalo. And amazing young talents like Mason Greenwood (a norminee for the Golden Boy award), Brandon Williams (another young defeneder with a clean sheet), and James Garner. Though they were certain flopps scenes in players like David De Gea, there were still little worries for the next season with the team counting on Dean Henderson for the next season, and hoping for improvement on the side of the world class De Gea.

Thus the 2019-20 season saw a team which was seen in the relégation race during the first half of the season, end third in the table. An exclusive amazing dramatic scene.
